Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • i.Organizing and supervising the implementation of all field activities
  • ii.Serving as a link between field work and the investigative team, managing information on study status and deliverables
  • iii.Developing and designing local training and capacity building in collaboration with the study investigators
  • iv.Drafting, editing and preparing correspondences, reports and other project related materials
  • v.Under minimal direction, coordinating a wide range of research procedures and conducting a variety of complex tasks determined by the field and scope of the study
  • vi.Working as part of a team in contributing to the analysis of results under the direction of the project PI and data team, collating, managing data during data collection periods (monthly) and providing quality assurance/quality control
  • vii.Coordinating and carrying out designated research tasks and projects, making use of selected methodology and materials, desk research, statistical analysis, or other investigative techniques
  • viii.Support the submission of periodic reports of project status to the PI, regularly suggesting additional tests or modifications in current procedures

1 i.Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences Public Health, Community Health, Education or any other Social Studies from a recognized institution Mandatory
2 ii.At least 2 years working experience in a large research project or academic organization as an administrator/coordinator. Mandatory
3 iii.Experience in conducting trainings and working closely with Ministry of Health Mandatory
4 iv.Experience in quantitative and qualitative data management and analysis Skills & Competencies
5 v.Good command of English and Kiswahili, both spoken and written Skills & Competencies
6 vi.Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively Skills & Competencies
7 vii.Ability to transcribe FGD discussions Skills & Competencies
8 viii.High level of attention to detail in data management Skills & Competencies
9 ix.Strong interpersonal communication skills Skills & Competencies
