Key Responsibilities:

  • i.Provide high-quality clinical care to participants, including HIV testing, counselling.
  • ii.Perform Phlebotomy
  • iii.Conduct participant assessments, eligibility, diagnose medical conditions, and develop treatment plans in line with the study protocol.
  • iv.Educate participants on Cholera prevention.
  • v.Collaborate with the research team to collect, document, and report clinical data accurately.
  • vi.Ensure compliance with ethical, regulatory, and clinical guidelines in all activities.
  • vii.Participate in training and capacity-building activities for clinic staff and community partners.
  • viii.Informed Consent form administration
  • ix.Administer respective Case Report Forms (CRFs)
  • x.Carrying out QA/QC of study CRFs, source docs, and resolve queries that may arise.
  • xi.Develop and review of clinic related related SOPs

1 Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery Mandatory
2 Valid Clinical officer’s license to practice in Kenya. Mandatory
3 Experience in research settings or clinical trials will be an added advantage Added Advantage
4 Strong clinical and diagnostic skills. Mandatory
5 Excellent communication and patient counselling skills. Mandatory
6 Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Mandatory
7 Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and data management systems. Mandatory
8 Knowledge of ethical and regulatory requirements for clinical research. Mandatory
9 Compassionate, patient-centred approach to care. Mandatory
10 Strong organizational and time-management skills. Mandatory
11 Commitment to advancing public health and HIV prevention. Mandatory
12 Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Human Subject Protection (HSP) certification with Strong knowledge of ICH guidelines Mandatory
13 Maintain accurate and confidential participants records in compliance with site policies and regulations Mandatory
